With Stellar’s presence in the Engineering & Construction market in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Auckland and Christchurch, Melbourne became an obvious strategic expansion opportunity for the business.
We’ve also been working with several clients on opportunities in Melbourne from Brisbane for the past 6-9 months, so with growth in the infrastructure sector and existing business in Victoria it became a great opportunity to kick-start the office and grow a team to mirror the reputation we have in our other regions.
What’s your growth plans?
We have current demand for the growth of our team particularly in Engineering & Construction, our Corporate & Commercial team and Stellar Technology. Once we establish this team, we’ll stabilise and look to grow organically as needed to successfully service our clients. There is strong potential for growth in our first calendar year in Melbourne. Where will you be located?
We are located at Level 4, 480 Collins St in the heart of Melbourne CBD (Map).
What do you see as your challenges entering the Melbourne market?
In our recent experience working in the Melbourne market for Engineering & Construction, candidate attraction is going to be challenging as newer, competing and larger projects continue to be awarded. The eastern seaboard is moving into an infrastructure boom which is starting to absorb Australia’s best talent, so being aware of projects, market movements and maintaining correspondence with our other offices will become important for our ability to attract candidates to Victoria.
Our growth and presence in the Australia / New Zealand regions places us in a really strong position in candidate identification, where we work together to complete priority projects and leverage our regional connections.
